PS Plate, also known as Presensitized Plate, is the abbreviation of "Presensitized Plate." It is a lithographic printing plate made by pre-coating a photosensitive resin layer on an aluminum sheet for PS plate. The high-quality aluminum substrate undergoes processes such as electrolytic grinding and anodizing to form a printing-ready base. The coating is smooth and uniform in thickness, making it suitable for high-precision printing. PS plates exhibit excellent hydrophilicity, wear resistance, and chemical stability, resulting in a high printing durability.
The commonly used aluminum substrate for PS plates is the 1060 H18 alloy from the 1xxx series. In addition to producing printing PS plates, 1060 alloy is widely used in positive-working PS plates, thermal CTP plates, photosensitive CTP plates, and UV-CTP plates for offset printing. Mingtai's aluminum sheet for PS plate typically ranges in width from 400 to 1600 mm, with conventional thicknesses of 0.10 to 0.50 mm.
The surface quality and flatness requirements for PS plate aluminum strips are extremely high. To achieve high-quality strips, special straightening methods must be applied after cold rolling. Mingtai Aluminum employs an advanced pure stretch-leveling process, avoiding defects such as hard scratches, leveling marks, and vibration marks. The equipment produces high-quality PS plate strips, making it an ideal straightening solution.
Additionally, Mingtai Aluminum utilizes matte air-bleed technology to improve plate-making efficiency. Through electrostatic spraying matte technology, air between the film and the PS plate is efficiently evacuated during exposure, reducing vacuum time by two-thirds compared to non-matte PS plates. This significantly shortens plate-making time while minimizing exposure issues in large solid areas, simplifying the process. The advanced multi-layer grain technology further enhances the plate's durability. Composed of composite grains (large, medium, and micro waves), each grain size contributes to balancing print durability and scum resistance, resulting in a PS plate that is both long-lasting and resistant to contamination.
